My Story

First,

Let me extend a heartfelt thank you for taking the time to read a little bit more about myself. I have been asked by many people over my career “What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?”. I have spent a great deal of time contemplating that question with a considerable amount of energy.

Now, I could start the sentence with a cliche statement about my family and kids. This would be true, but it is not the only source of inspiration for a creative entity such as myself. I wake up each morning visually planning my day. I create the goals that I want to attain by seeing the problems and opportunities that can be solved today. I would say that is the simplest answer to your question. I wake up with the drive to create something tangible, remove obstacles from my path, and take advantage of opportunities presented by the day.

This mindset has allowed me to create three successful products from concept to national sales. I learn from each success and failure so that I can always move forward and better my skill sets and experience with each new idea. I organize and prioritize my goals while enjoying my steaming cup of coffee (coffee is a delicious part of my morning ritual.) I review the current projects and events on my plate for the day and begin rearranging them to execute them efficiently. This is my system of work no matter if the day calls for completing a multi-million-dollar project or cleaning my house on a cold Saturday morning. Although, when the day is just a slow day of straightening up for social game night, I am guilty of enjoying a second cup of coffee before beginning my cleaning activities.

I know these words are but a glimpse of what makes me driven and ambitious. I could write a twenty-page paper on the ideals and motivations I have on a day-to-day basis. The simple, and concise answer I hope you are looking for is potentially this: I wake up each morning with three things dominating my drive and ability to execute anything put in front of me. Those things are:

Growth: I want to improve and learn from each success and shortcoming I experience.

Drive: I want to try and invent new things and processes that change the status quo.

Passion: I love what I do for a living. I can’t wait to see the look of success on my client’s face or the feeling of success in my heart.

These three things are the fuel, the gears, and the engine, of my future successes. I hope that my future and your company and team ideals align with each other.
